How to Make Marshmallow Fondant


Marshmallow fondant is a versatile and easy-to-make icing that can transform your cakes and cupcakes into professional-looking masterpieces. This sweet, pliable dough is made from just a few simple ingredients: marshmallows, powdered sugar, and a bit of water. It's perfect for covering cakes smoothly and can be tinted or flavored to match any theme or taste. 1. Spray bowl w/ non stick spray. I use Canola oil for all my baking needs because it works better than Pam or any other non stick, but anything will do for this recipe. 


2. Add marshmallows and water




3. Melt over a double boiler or microwave it 30 seconds at a time until completely smooth.




4. Sift powdered sugar. Don’t skip this step or your fondant will be lumpy.




5. Create a well in the center and add melted marshmallows.



6. Begin incorporating sugar & marshmallows and knead until smooth.




7. Spray Saran Wrap with non stick spray & wrap fondant tightly. Let rest until completely cool or overnight. Knead once more before covering cake.
