If you’ve ever struggled with making fondant bows that take forever, lose their shape, or just don’t look clean — this tutorial is for you. In this post, I’m sharing the fastest way to make fondant bows, especially small, professional-looking 3D bows that are perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. I’ll show you the best fondant bow cutter I use, why it works so well, and exactly how to use it step by step so you can create perfect bows in minutes instead of wasting time shaping them by hand. You can find the bow cutter I recommend linked below so you can grab the same one and start making bows effortlessly.
This Bow Cutter has been a saviour for me, especially for fulfilling this cookie order. Its a good size, easy to use, and makes bow making quick and efficient. Get yours here 👇🏾
Using this cutter is simple! Use the entire cutter to cut out all the shapes at once! Remove the tails of the bows first with a toothpick, and brush on water to attach the pieces to the fondant.
Then remove the middle piece. This is the Bow. Brush on some water on the center of the piece only! Then fold in each end of the bow to the center.
Remove the Final piece and attach it to the center of the bow.
Now you've made the perfect bow for cookies, cake toppers, and small decorations! 🎀
